I know, to most of you merchanting is not a word, but to people who play runescape it is. Merchanting is the act of buying low and selling high. There is not much to talk about except that there are specific objects that have a big range in prices. Most of them are also high priced things. examples, the abyssal whip, 1.2-1.6 million, the dragon chain, 2.2-2.6 million. dragon medium helmet, 800,000-900,000, and the dark bow, 3.4-3.6 million. There are many more high priced, big ranged items left but most of them are items that show off your money.
Now, for those of you who cant afford those items to merchant, here are some others. Rune Longsword, 11-25 thousand, Guthix platebody, 400-500 thousand, buying halberds in the Elves forest and selling them to players for more, and herbs.
Herbs have there own name for merchanting, herb merchanting. You need to have atleast 36 as your herblore level for this to work. What you do in herb merchanting is buy 11 different types of herbs in bulk, meaning getting lets say 30 of the eleven different types of herbs. Please note that there are 14 types of herbs available, except two of them require a high leveled agility which low levels dont have, more on that later, and you never know which one of the eleven will be switched with the fourteenth. After you buy the herbs put them into your bank next to eachother for organizational use, and withdraw 1 of each herb. remember which one was drawn form which pile and identify each ont in turn. If you cant identify some, it doesnt matter, you are really looking for Ranar Weed which sells for 6-7 thousand. Once you find the Ranar Weed, identify all of them and sell them to a player. Note, I once got 26 of them giving me 156 thousand. After that sell the rest of the unidentified herbs back to a player. You should by the herbs from a low level player to minimize the chance of not getting a Ranar Weed.
That concludes my merchanting guide and, I hope, a Runescape player got to read this.
